Installing Solar Panels on A Safari (in pictures)
That arrangement has worked out quite well after migrating to a new mooring on the Southern Broads I decided to finally go ahead and install a proper permanent solar panel to work all year round and top up/float charge both engine and leisure batteries.
There are a couple of reasonably simple design decisions to be made, notably how big a panel to install (depends on how much power you need), the type of controller (single or dual battery and/or basic or advanced controller) and finally the type of panel - (Rigid (on brackets & screwed) or flexible (stuck to the roof).
