Wifi On Safari

Want separate and more /flexible data allowances than your regular phone SIM might provide and without 1-2 year "lock in".

Mobile data is reducing in cost and there are many low cost deals now available from Telecomms companies "piggy backing" on the core Vodafone, EE, O2 networks. We use the Vodafone network having found that it provides good signal coverage country wide (including the Broads at most moorings). EE would be the next preferred choice.

Streaming your favourite TV programs each day/night while away can use around 4-5 Gb per day.
Using your WiFi network for sending/receiving email and simple internet browsing using a phone, laptop or tablet, will typically use less than 500Mb per day.
Similarly using a Blink WiFi security camera and hub will also use quite small amounts of data (only while accessing cameras remotely or when downloading recorded images/videos remotely).

Use a website such as Moneysupermarket or MoneySavingExpert to choose a low cost, rolling 30 day, PAYG SIM, with a data allowance that meets your needs. There are often special offers available. You might even find yourself eventually transferring from your normal SIM provider e.g Vodafone to another supplier e.g Lebara using the Vodafone network as the current 30 day rolling deals can be much cheaper than the bigger companies with no loss of service (including free calls, free texts, roaming, data allowances, no annual increases and no extended contract "lock in"....
Using a mobile WiFi hub/router enables better buffering of data for streaming services over & above that which may be available on a mobile phone "hot spot".
